I sure hope the island of Guam doesn't tip over and capsize

That might be the single stupidest thing ever said by a Congressman, and that is saying a lot.

I seem to recall that this guy is suffering from some kind of medical condition. Could be he's not all there mentally as a result.

Or he could just be bat**** insane.

Maybe he read this book:

And in the next hearing, he'll be asking about the smoke monster that exists on Guam.

How quickly could a Top 10 list be compiled?

Does this man - or anyone else there - know ANYTHING about Guam?

I like the general's (or who ever the military person is) reaction. He is like "I flew from Guam for some congressman to ask me if Guam was in danger of capsizing. Well, next time, they need me, I will just send a note saying that the Island is in danger of capsizing and I can not leave at this time."

He's pretty damn sure it's 7 miles wide at its least most widest smallest closest from coast to coast span.

Congrats ... Congress makes Wikipedia look credible by comparison ... :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guam

Link mentions that the island is 30 miles by 4-12 miles wide.

Not first time Guam has been involved in a political event very stupid.

Basically what happens is at the DNC convention Guam is told they have nine votes and they "proudly cast" 4 for obama and 3 for Clinton. They are asked to repeat and the lady says it again.

I lived on Guam for 15 years and loved it.
It's about 17 miles wide at its widest point.
And it rocks when the wind blows hard.

Dare I ask what moron-infused corner of our country elected this guy?

This is the type of **** that Christoper Columbus had to put up with it.

Ya' know, when Guam does capsize we're all going to look really stupid for ripping on this guy.

I found it pretty funny how he was trying to milk that for all it's worth. It's like he had an aid look that up for him right beforehand, and wanted to make damn sure everyone saw that he knew an honest to god fact about Guam.

Unfortunately, the aid forgot to explain that Guam was an island, not a big boat.

Is it part of the Federated States of Micronesia?
