Radio station with Salt Lake Tribune columnist gets bought out and merges with Utah Jazz-owned station, he keeps his show ...
Is that OK now?

There can't be more than a hundred of these arrangements around the country. Or maybe there can be.

This. Cross-pollination across platforms seems to be the norm nowadays.

Canzano in Portland is/was working for the Blazers-owned station for years.

That horse done left the barn long ago.
 
To me there is little difference between this and a reporter/columnist having a show on a station that is the rights-holder for a team the reporter/columnist covers.
 
Tracy Ringolsby appeared on Rockies broadcasts, as did Amalie Benjamin on Red Sox broadcasts.

If you look at the various Comcast SportsNets, there is a show featuring newspaper writers. Generally, one or more teams in a market owns a part of the local Regional Sports Network.
