Interesting in a way that this is supposed to be the '80s version of "Animal House", 20-plus years after the fact. Just like "Animal House" was set in 1962 and created in 1982.

Then again, Doug Kenney (RIP), Ivan Reitman and Co. aren't to be found anywhere around this.

It lost me with the stunning lack of basic details.

Pledges don't get to wear letters. They wear pledge pins and they may carry paddles, but letters are forbidden until initiation.

If they're in ROTC, can they wear pledge pins on their uniforms?

Then again, That 80s Show also sucked out loud. Maybe the era isn't conducive to intentional comedy

Not sure. We didn't have any ROTC/Corps of Cadets guys in my fraternity.

Animal House came out in 1978.
C'mon, this is TBS, you thought this was going to be good?
After Frank TV?

I watched for five minutes and only because I was watching the 9:30 p.m. Family Guy.

It sucked.

The new show on TBS. They've been advertising it for weeks.

Six minutes in, it sucks.

I am not shocked.

You couldn't tell it sucked from the commercials?

A show has to be really bad when the commercials, supposedly showing the best of the best clips, make you say "Seriously, What the hell?" Honestly, with all of the quality shows being put on USA, TNT, and even some on TBS (men of a certain age), is it really hard to make a good show? TBS usually seems to spit the bit.

Had been looking forward to this - but forgot to set my TiVo. May catch the second one but my hopes are much, much lower now.

Reminds me of the TV version of Animal House - Delta House - Had some of same cast from movie including Dean Wormer.
Awful show - lasted about 3 months as I recall.

Seems like TBS always over promises and over promotes their shows. Expectations always raised to high.

Men of a Certain Age is on TNT, no?
