Looks rather ... Gannettish.

Agreed. Gannett has a really (in my opinion) crappy publishing system. Plus, Gannett forced everyone to change their home pages to a certain style (to be approved by Gannett). There is very little creativity here.

That's pretty much standard-issue Gannett.

It doesn't look like a newspaper site at all...

The comments posted to the site are pretty funny.
My favorite: "Doesn't even load properly. How damn stupid can it get? It's like the Detroit Lions organization took over control of it. My god, now I am all frustrated. Another good thing removed from my life without any control of my own. Stupid, stupid, stupid."

Yeah, but I don't know if it's much worse than the old "One site fits all" K-R look.

That is the most generic looking website I've ever seen.

You can't differentiate one story from another. Are they headlines? Are they links? Are they local stories? Are the national stories?

Everything is blue on white - in list form.

It's so boring.

Newspapers want people to come to their site, this makes me want to leave.

It's like I have to hunt for everything.

I like the second comment posted:

Did Matt Millen design this?

Figured out what I don't like: The ad bar in the left rail... it's for a table of contents, not all the ad-driven crap
