Categories and nominations could include

Best non-issue that got the most media play: Is Obama a Muslim?
Fluffiest fluff piece: Anything related to Obama and basketball or Michelle as the new Jackie O.
The Geraldo Rivera Memorial Grandstander of the Year: Santelli
Biggest leak disguised as a "scoop": Obama Dog, vegetable garden.
Worst commentator: Bill Kristol
Most inane argument: NYT explaining why Kristol was on their op-ed page
Worst prognostication: Kristol
Low point of the Year:

Low point of the year: The Rocky Mountain News closing without their owners so much as putting up a fight.
