OOh, Axis & Allies. Used to play that one in high school. Loved it. Good call, StormSurge.

I picked it up again when my kid was six or so. Ten years later, I still haven't beaten him. Even when we play "random," where you just turn your guys face down, mix `em up and place them on the board in whatever order they come up.
I absolutely suck at the game.

Sorta Risk for big people.
I sucked at it.
Another of my favorites is called Acquire (anyone else ever heard of it?). You start corporations and buy stock in them, then they merge. Played it in college and bought my own, now we play whenever possible. Also have a website to play that online if anyone's interested.
My problem was, my friends were all smarter than me.Bubbler said:JR said:Now, that's a game.Del_B_Vista said:Diplomacy.

I always wanted to play that, but I never had friends smart enough to play it.
Mystery Meat said:Anyone play Mille Bornes? That was a fun little card game. They used to have it on games.com, but outside of that I haven't played it in like decades.

The MAD magazine board game was awesome.
