I'm not sure how Family Guy and Fox do these things, but most animated shows are done a few weeks before they air. Family Guy might not be done that way, but I think this episode was probably written before the strike.

I think Macfarlane wrote and voiced this episode, it's just that he didn't get to sign off on it (as is his right as executive producer) before it aired because he's on strike.

So terrible, yet so funny.
