Facebook and the Vietnam photo

It was posted on an unrelated thread (which is now locked), but this is the hottest story of the day.

Facebook removed a post from a Norwegian author that showed the "Napalm Girl" photo. When he shared an interview with the girl in the photo, who criticized Facebook for censoring it, his account was suspended. The controversy raged from there and included a post from Norway's prime minister that was also removed.

Facebook relented. I don't know if it was the humans or the algorithms that told them how bad they look.

Yeah, the "ban" was stupid and shows a complete lack of human-ness. Shocker.

Am I the only one thinking the reaction from the newspaper and the Prime Minister is a tad over the top?
