Delete all forward? Looking for help with a keystroke combination

A long time ago I learned (since forgotten) a handy keystroke combination for editing long chunks of text. Let's say you are 300 words into a 1,000-word story and need to delete everything after the cursor in a few quick strokes.

Anyone know the combination of key moves for that? Mac? PC?

crtl-shift-end to highlight everything after the cursor. then hit delete

Super. Thanks. I should have specified I meant while editing/designing pages, but you read my mind. Thanks

Depends on the program you're using. For Quark (Mac) it's Apple-Option-Shift-Down Arrow to select everything below your cursor, then hit delete. On Quark (PC) you use Ctrl-Alt-Shift. I think InDesign is Ctrl-End-Shift and a quick check on OpenOffice reveals that combo works there too.
