If the next seven years mirror the first seven, then absolutely. How he ages is going to be very interesting.

I can't claim to be a Price expert but, watching his two starts against the Royals, he was very, very good. Didn't get the defense in Game 2 and didn't get run support in Game 6.

I'd love to have a guy like him in KC's rotation.

Couldn't beat the Rangers in his entire career until he got a cheapie W in Game 4 of the ALDS in relief because R.A. Dickey couldn't go five.

Gibbons didn't trust Price to start Game 5, so he used him out of the pen with an 8-1 lead in Game 4 instead. If you're a future HOFer, you get the ball when it's nut-cutting time, no questions asked.

Going to Boston, he will certainly have the platform to lay out a great HOF case. And if he can get to about 230 wins by the end of this 7 year contract -- averaging 18 wins per year -- with a WS win in the mix and some signature games, then I doubt anyone will give a damn about what happened in a Toronto series back whenever.
