Here's another reason for the Cubs' bad karma. :)

Jimbo's, the bar located closest to Sox Park, is still fighting to keep its lease. And who are the landlords so desperate to put in Jimbo's place?

John Barleycorn -- a freakin' NORTH SIDE BAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: The 100th Annual Cubs Watch Thread

Re: The 100th Annual Cubs Watch Thread

Jerking them off for an 8:35 local start, tonight, is cute, too.

Re: The 100th Annual Cubs Watch Thread

No ****. Why TBS and MLB want this 3 p.m., 6 p.m., 9:30 p.m. schedule is beyond me. Why not 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m.?

Re: The 100th Annual Cubs Watch Thread

Cub/Dodger placement is cynical, but obvious. Primetime
first pitch in the East, and first pitch actually after work in
Dodgerland. With that game set, you work backwards.
Sabathia's sexier than the Rays -- at the moment.

"...and these are the CUBS! MY ****ING ASS!!!" [/LeeElia]

Cue the funeral march and Eric Idle yelling "bring out 'yer dead!" ad naseum.

Even this Cubs fan knows it ****ing over. They'll be lucky to win Game 3, and if they do, 'dem Bums will blow them out on Sunday at Chavez Ravine.

Go Phillies!

At least this won't be hung on a Bartman or Durham. This is a euthanization.

Re: The 100th Annual Cubs Death Watch

For what it's worth, the Sox came back when everyone thought they were dead. Maybe that's how you break a curse.

True, but they were playing the Yankees. Not a team that has one playoff win since 1988 ...

Re: The 100th Annual Cubs Death Watch

There is no ****ing curse. Jesus Christ.
