The Dodgers in the first week of October were a better team than the Cubs in the first week of October. Simple as that.

Were some players tight because it was the postseason? Probably. It happens in every sport. Were some players tight because of a curse? No.

And you're right that the Cubs had no one like Manny Ramirez in the dugout. More important, they had no one like Manny batting in the middle of a lineup that was outscored 20-6 in the series.

Yup.

All I can say is that Cubs fans might feel a little better after the Dodgers take out Philly in six.

Nah. The Marlins winning the World Series in 2003 didn't make me feel any better.
