Not sure I buy an ounce of this story but here it is.
She'll grow out of it. Wondering how many people would wear that to cover a Cowboys game.

High school guidance counselors are some of the most useless people on the planet. I don't doubt the story for a minute.
My recollection is that someone did that. Please let me know who and what prompted that.Childish, like standing in a cornfield road with baseballs and bats proclaiming you made it.
My issue is that five minutes on Google shows she went to Michigan State straight out of high school. So, she was smart enough and had good enough academics to get in there.
Sparty High's stands are not ... the highest.
I think it's probably a little of column A and a little of column B. Little doubt she was bright and had a pretty clear path to a big-time school. But it's also very easy to see a 70-something curmudgeon telling a girl she has no chance to be a sports reporter.
It’s still not like she graduated last in her class and had to slug it out at a community college.
