Hearst starts gutting of Dallas Morning News

"In one of the first official actions as the new owners of The Dallas Morning News, Hearst will lay off 26 people, according to the Dallas News Guild, the paper's union.
The layoffs eliminate the Morning News' entire copy desk, including the sports copy desk, and outsources the paper's print page production, the guild said in a social media post. The action violates the union's collective bargaining agreement, the union said."
