The Significant Other, aka The Best Friend of FotF, is having her book launch tonight. Her book is (in Canada) Carnivore Chic: From Pasture to Plate, the Search for the Perfect Meat.

I can't invite anybody--Penguin is looking after the invitations. But the site of the launch got me thinking. The launch is in a new-age steakhouse called Cowbell.

I'm just wondering which poster's name would make this least mouth-watering name for a restaurant.

"Boots" would be a great name for a steakhouse.

POINDEXTER'S, OUR STORY
Stef and Mandy realized their dream come true July 11, 2006 as the doors open, to a hole in the wall bar locate at 115 Dunn Rd. Fayetteville, NC. their new biker bar "POINDEXTER'S SALOON".
Bikers from around Fayetteville heard about and started drifting in, and it didn't take long before motorcycle clubs, biker groups and individual became regulars at this little bar. No major advertising, just word of mouth!
Today you can ride by and find bikes in the lot at all hours of the day. Special events for bikers are common with poker runs, support parties, special fund raisers for the biker community and unfortunately even memorials for "Fallen Bikers".
Transplant from California and Ohio, converged on Fayetteville, North Carolina. Living, working, playing and trying to realize a dream of owning their own bar.
After working for several different bars in the Fayetteville area their dream came true when they open Poindexter's Saloon, to cater to bikers of all kinds.
It really started to take off after the first of many Support 81 parties held here, more and more clubs learned the location and it wasn't long before Poindexter's was on the stop of several poker runs to benefit different bikers favorite charity or fund raiser.
Support 81 has adopted Poindexter's Saloon for their parties, and they know how to do it right. Bands like "Strong Hold" "The Bob Steele Band" and"Auotmag", just to name a few played inside and outside over the past year.
Great food has been served, the big pig roaster's come out and everything has been cooked up for the patrons to sit back enjoy music, beer and comradery with fellow bikers. They have Oyster roast, clambakes, pig pikins and more at the hole in the wall bar and everyone leave full and happy.
