We've gone from the the "hoax" of global wrming to "it's part of God's plan"

This place never fails to amuse me

One is based on a commandment, which is also good sense, to follow. Call it a principle if you want.

The other is based on an inconclusive theory that ignores centuries of climate change when man didn't have the industry to affect it.

Apples and Irish Setters.

And how do you know that the Commandment to stewardship doesn't require man to take the evidence in hand and move to change the course of things?

In other words, the underlying motivation for a lot of things that may or may not be true are likely noble and in many cases likely to produce positive results -- but that isn't a reason to adopt them universally.

How do you think that line of thinking would go over with God?

"Hey God, what's happening? I've heard there's a new car coming out that's emission-free and will actually replace the ozone we've lost in the atmosphere. I've heard that if it were widely adopted, we'd make the Earth you created a better place for every creature you call your own. Really!

"(slaps God on the back) Ha, ha! Let's not get too hasty, though. You can pry my Hemi out of my cold, dead hands!"

How do you know that global warming is not a part of God's natural plan for planet earth? Do you know this for sure? Perhaps going green is interfering with his plan, did you ever consider that?

God loves us and wants us to fry and choke on toxic gasses.

Wow. That does make perfect sense.

Didn't say it was or wasn't -- just said it could be.

Isn't this the same God who once showed his wrath by killing off the entire population -- minus about seven people and a pair of every animal -- with a flood a few years back?

Perhaps Global Warming is his next show of wrath.....ever think of that, huh? Well? Huh?

Not so much to say now tough guy!!!!

No.

No one has an answer for the fact that severe climate changes occurred well before the Industrial Age.

So I assume that Al Gore invented all of those.

What?

Are you telling me that, because we don't treat women's basketball with the same respect as we do the men's game, God will destroy all life on Earth?

It's hard for some people to admit that there are things pertaining to the ongoing affairs of the cosmos that are well beyond the control of politicians and Nobel Peace Prize winners.

Exactly Yawn -- Of course, didn't you know that The Ice Ages were a direct result of greedy capitalistic cavemen using too many aerosol sprays and driving Hummers.....

Zags, you have to take faith-based thoughts and put them in worldly terminology so that some people will understand. They can be humbled by nature or by the Creator of Nature. Makes no difference to me; we're all subject to it in one form or the other.

More proof that you don't really believe what you're typing and just lobbing stupid grenades for fun.

I will admit, however, that you're entertaining in a crazy guy-rambling-on-a-corner kind of way.

Have you ever considered this possibility?

This could be the start of a second round of ice ages!! Floods, disasters - - Global Warming is simple -- God is going to put a lightning bolt in our asses because of homosexuality, abortion and fornication!!!!

I mean -- why is that so far fetched?

So.

Since climate change of the kind we're talking about isn't described in the Bible, you're relying on the findings of science to tell you that in earlier ages the world's climate changed.

And yet now, when science is telling you that humanity contributes to climate change in the phenomenon of global warming, you say that science is not to be trusted.

Which is it? Do you believe in science? Or not?

Even as a kid, I didn't believe that story.

How are the polar bears going to get from the Artic to Noah's house in the Mideast? Is Dharma Corp. going to ship them there?
