Classic board games?

My dorm roommate and I used to play a game called "crotch roulette". Our beds were side-by-side for a while until we got a loft.

We'd take this cooch ball, bounce it off the ceiling and try and hit the other guy right in the crotch. It was not easy, a cooch ball does not give a consistent bounce, nor did the ceiling.

You could not move to avoid the ball, or ... frankly ... I don't remember what the penalty was, but it was worth your while to take your medicine, that much I remember. Either that, or we were so stupid, we actually took the game seriously enough to display a modicum of honor in playing it.

And before anyone's mind nose-dives into the gutter, yes, we were totally naked clothed.

We both really needed to get laid badly.

In other crotch-related games, some other dormmates and I used to play a game simply called "Kill".

The object was simple, wing a tennis ball into someone's else crotch with as much velocity and to inflict as much pain as humanly possible. We'd play this game for as long as two hours at a time, everyone transfixed like a hawk on protecting their own nutsack, and, simultaneously waiting for a dormie to slip up and show a sign of weakness. It was like some bizarro showdown at the O.K. Crotch corral.

One time, a buddy of mine drilled another buddy right in the package. Since it was so hard to actually score in the game, soccer is a score-fest in comparsion, he got up and started jumping around in celebration. He was oblivious to the tennis ball that had rebounded right to me.

As he was jumping around like a doofus, I did my best Nolan Ryan fastball at point-blank range and scored a direct hit not unlike Luke Skywalker's when he blew up the Death Star. My man went down like sack of wet cement.

To this day, he has never had children.

Wow.

Makes me glad my roommate and I played Strat-o-Matic.

We played that too, but if you rolled a "6-12", you got to throw a tennis ball into the other guy's crotch.

There was a football game I had where you had white offense cards and black defensive cards with transparent windows. You would place the defensive call over the offensive card and four windows would pop up. You would then flick a plastic ball on a metal pole right next to the cards and the ball would bounce up and down. The closest window was the play that happened.

There were about 60-70 different offensive plays, and they were the full plays with blocking schemes and everything. The defensive cards have the movement of the players so you could see how the plays compared to each other.

I tell you, I was such a dork playing that game, but before Atari, it was the sweetest thing ever.

Then once Atari hit, it was three on three football!!!

Tell me there are other 35-45s in here that had that game.

Damn, I had that game too. I want to say it was branded as an official NFL game or maybe Monday Night Football. It was pretty cool in the pre-video game era.

****, how could I have forgotten.

Snakes and Ladders - Which, by the way, is wonderful when you have the glass board that uses shot glasses as pieces. We play it so that for every line you fall on a snake, you do a half shot. Trust me, that's plenty.
