Wasn't a headline, but a few weeks ago I saw someone really foul up the cliche "licking their wounds" in an online football preview.

Honest to God, it said a team was through "licking their wombs" after last weeks' defeat.

Our office had a pretty good laugh about it. When I told my wife, she that was bad enough, but suppose it was about a field hockey team?
