Chuck Norris - RIP

When Chuck Norris woke up at the Pearly Gates of Heaven, God gave him a choice. Chuck Norris thought about it for a bit and decided to go to hell. God, shocked but relieved he kept his job, asked why. Chuck Norris said it was simple: He wanted to continue good work as everyone’s worst nightmare.

My only Chuck Norris story (besides hours watching him in terrible movies and TV shows)... I was seated behind Norris and his wife on a flight many years ago when I was accompanying a collegiate team to a game somewhere. Some of the players were enthralled to see a star in their midst when we deplaned and nicely asked if they could take a picture with him. He agreed, but his wife was peeved, and I quickly snapped the shot to avoid her wrath. That might have been the only time I imposed on a "famous" person for a picture.

Unlike Mrs. Norris, Chuck understood how important good will with fans could be. He was someone who allowed himself to be fan and it showed in his interactions with entertainers and in martial arts circles. Some celebs assume everyone knows who they are and they are the main character in every situation. That wasn't him. I didn't agree with his politics, but his professional and personal ethos impressed me. #formerdojoaunt

I think there’s a video of Chuck Norris reading Chuck Norris jokes.
