Headline says 8 fatalities, story says there may be fatalities:

Police are investigating a shooting downtown that may have resulted in multiple fatalities.

Some reports by journalists and others on social media indicated there may have been multiple deaths, but that could not be confirmed with police, who said they had no information on victims. Police said the shooting took place at an address that corresponds with that of Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

The house of worship is the oldest AME church in the South and is led by South Carolina State Sen. Clementa Pinckney, a Democrat. The church has one of the oldest and largest black congregations south of Baltimore, according to its website. Denmark Vesey, executed for attempting to organize a major slave rebellion, was one of the founders.

The shooting took place at about 9 p.m. ET, Charleston police said via Twitter. The gunman is still on the loose, police told the Charleston Post and Courier.

The suspect is a white male about 21-years-old and is wearing a grey sweatshirt or hoodie, blue jeans and Timberland boots, officials said.

Watching coverage and they describe the suspect and give his age as 21. How do they know his exact age?

About eight years after the tragedy of the Sofa Superstore tragedy, where a bunch of firefighters were killed when the roof collapsed on them.

I was in Charleston last week on vacation. A city as beautiful as that doesn't deserve something as heinous as this.

I know it takes a while to come up with rap sheets on nine people, but still, Fox is slipping. At the very least, by now, we should know that three of them were no angels.
But if someone in the prayer group had a gun with them in church maybe things would be different. [/Steve _Douchie. FoxAndFriends]

And Rudy Guiliani tried to blame. It on Muslim terrorists.

Charleston police chief said the shooter sat in a prayer circle with the victims for an hour before shooting them.

Wow. Supposedly kept one of them alive to relay his message. I suspect we'll get the full Kaczmierczak/Cho/Holmes on this one, manifesto and all.
