Was this a real-life GTA mission gone horribly wrong, or what?
California man gets pulled over and decides to run from the cops. At some point in the chase, he drives through the gate at Naval Air Station Lemoore (near Fresno) and winds up on the flight line, where he crashes into a parked F/A-18E fighter jet. His passenger was killed in the wreck, and he died later on from his injuries.

I wonder what percentage of motorists who try to flee cops actually get away.

If they hit it hard enough to kill them both, I wonder how much damage it did to the jet.

And the real ****ing blame here is with the idiot -- probably some contract rent-a-cop -- attempting to secure a ****ing military installation. Fire them ****ers, time now.

The story I read said the car hit one of the horizontal stabilizers. That made me instantly think decapitation for the one at the scene. Severe head injuries for the other.

I'm waiting for the toxicology report though. Must be wacky weed to make them try to hit that wing.

But the purposely misleading, clickbaiting Web headlines just make me angry.

More teasing than misleading, usually.

"Car hits fighter jet . . you won't believe what happens next!"

I absolutely ***HATE*** that ****. And if you are interested enough in it to actually clicking on it, you probably get drawn into 37 photos, each of which requires another click. You know how I now respond to those? When I see links like that: I either say out loud, mumble, or silently yell "**** YOU!"

Probably should follow that with "Get off my lawn!"

****, I have become a grumpy old man.
