It's a big time annual event and this year it's being held in Double J country in Teeswater, Ontario I wonder if he's covering it. :)

Went to one a number of years ago. Lots of fun.

In Canada a plowing match is a full contact sport.

I don't know my horses, but with those short legs and big bodies, they look more like mules than horses.

They're not mules.

They're draft horses. I'm not an expert on breeds but the ones in the pic could be Belgians.

You know, if it wasn't for my horse, I never would have spent that year in college.

How did Guinness get into a horse thread?

The better question is why does a hangover suddenly have me talking like a hillbilly?

On another note, look at this.

Luckily, no. I get to be just a visitor this time. :)

Last time it was in this area, in 2004, it was just outside of Meaford and I had to cover it every damn day.

did you write features or devote most of your stories to plow-by-plow?

I bet you've been just waiting to use that.

Nicely played.

Thank you ... wasn't sure if anyone would get it, but I figured I'd throw it out there. Makes me laugh every time I see it.
