I wouldn't say years and years, but they're not from yesterday, either.

I think they are from years and years ago. A friend of mine pointed out that a stadium built a few years ago wasn't even on there yet when you look at that address.

I'm thinking the relevancy here is that if you take that quote, remove the name from it and ask people to guess the position of the person who said it, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES would probably be well down the list.

it's definitely a generational thing but it's relevant because it shows how out of touch he is with mainstream middle class america. republicans and democrats alike use google every day. it's become part of the way we live for many people, as indispensible as say, cable TV or downloadable music, though not as crucial as a car. and he's never heard of it.

otoh, clinton sent only one e-mail in his eight years in the white house - he sent it to himself when someone was showing him the concept of e-mail.
