Breaking news reporters for College Football (Atlanta Journal)

We’re looking for breaking news reporters who can blog on SEC and/or Big Ten football teams … and write on news as it happens. You can live remotely. You must have good knowledge of SEC/Big Ten football, along excellent news awareness to recognize it as soon as it happens on social media. Most importantly, you must be able to write quickly … with depth and perspective that only comes from following college football closely. You must be willing to aggregate and write on viral content, along with do original reporting. There are full-time and part-time positions available. Previous experience on an SEC/Big Ten beat is a plus. Pay depends on experience. Please send a resume and variety of clips (breaking news, features, enterprise and multi-media) to [email protected]

The SEC site has already hired some pretty big hitters, including AL.com's Brandon Marcello to cover Auburn, MLive's Mike Griffith to cover Tennessee and the Oklahoman's Jason Kersey to cover Arkansas. They've got to be doing pretty well to pay all those guys.

Cox started a conservative news website (Rare) a couple of years ago. It still exists, so I guess that's a good sign. I have never heard anyone refer to it, so that's not so good.

Rare as a conservative site didn't last a year. It's now an aggregation site similar to BuzzFeed.
