Headline on Braves-Astros deal, half-hour after story posted, says "Braves trade for CF Michael Bourne." Bad, because name is wrong on one of the bigger names in the trade deadline. I guess the Sunday morning shift isn't the prized one ...

One of the country's best baseball writers, I guy I like and really respect, had it Bourne in multiple places this morning, too.

I gotta give Bob Bourne some love. Sorry, Kansas City Scouts flashback, even though he never played for them.

Now that he's in Atlanta, Bourne has supremacy.

(Double sorry)

I wonder, when Atlanta made their offer, if they gave Houston a Bourne Ultimatum.

(Triple Sorry)

If he somehow vaults the Braves to the top of the NL East, I can almost guarantee a two-page SI spread entitled "Bourn to be Wild."

If it isn't "Tragedy strikes Phillies."

Or perhaps A Star is Bourn.

"Bourn To Run" - feature on his speed.

But really, if the Braves overtake the Phillies, the headline will be "The Legion Is Doomed" ... because Gary Smith is the official Phillies beat writer for SI this year, and the story will be entirely about how Late Riser's injury distracted Tunnelman and Loose Laser and had Kid Quantum trying to do adult things or something.
