This is fantastic stuff!

I have no explanation why, but I am really getting into this show on HULU.

I think they are moving it to Thursdays which will mean a slow death, which is sad because the characters are starting to really grow on me.

I could not find anyone else talking about this show, so I hope this is not a D_B.

Great show. I watch reruns whenever I get the chance.

I did not have great expectations, but it's good.

Try hulu.com for episodes. They have a handful there.

It's very good.

You need to get NetFlix while you're laid up, 93. I imagine you can discover all kinds of really good shows that way.

No ****.

I was thinking of The Shield. I got into Lost, 24 and The Sopranos the same way.

Actually, I think I did Band of Brothers in three nights that way as well.

Didn't hear/read this show was moving to Thursdays, but it's not a death knell by any stretch. It's one of those shows Fox likes to plug in wherever it has a weakness, a la That '70s Show. I'm pretty sure Bones has now been on every night from Mon thru Thurs.

And to piggyback on what Pallister said, it re-runs all the time b/c it's easier for Fox to re-air Bones on a Friday night (and whatever other night features a show that just tanked) than to figure out what to do with a timeslot of suck. It's not going anywhere.

I'll do a Band of Brothers marathon every once in a while.

And Bones is a good show, far more interesting to me than any of the CSIs.

Bones is like NCIS in that it mixes a significant dose of comedy into the drama. Both have nowhere near the gravitas of Cold Case or Without a Trace, but they are very entertaining.

BTW, it's bizzare that the same guy who created the boring JAG came up with NCIS

NCIS is the best show on television, IMO. Are you saying Leroy Jethro Gibbs doesn't have sufficient gravitas? Better watch out for a smack in the head, dools.

NCIS is that good?

I thought Vegas was the only decent CSI.

I want to be Gibbs when I grow up. Like dools said, NCIS mixes the serious with some light-hearted humor. And like "Bones," the main characters are well-developed, but still mysterious.

This is one of those shows that I've enjoyed the few times I've caught an episode but haven't gotten completely into yet.

Seeing as NCIS was spun off JAG, it shouldn't be that surprising. Donald Bellisario is the same man who brought us the wonder that is Magnum, P.I. as well.

NCIS doesn't remotely resemble CSI. Bones is a closer fit since there is more emphasis on the scientific evidence. NCIS does have a forensic specialist and two MEs, but they're mostly secondary characters.

Getting back to the original topic, Fox re-aired what is, in my opinion, the best episode Bones has ever done, last night - Aliens in a Spaceship, from season two. Just outstanding work from everyone in the cast, but especially TJ Thyne and Emily Deschanel.

No, Lisa, what I'm saying is that the same person who came up with the interesting NCIS came up with the boring JAG. Which character was spun from JAG to NCIS?

Gibbs, DiNozzo, Ducky and Abby. NCIS was launched via a two-part backdoor pilot during JAG's sixth season maybe? DiNozzo's original partner, Cate Todd, wasn't part of the cast at the time; Robyn Lively played the female member of the team but they did some casting shuffling when the show got picked up. Incidentally, Sean Murray, who plays McGee, appeared on JAG as a totally different character. And he's Bellisario's stepson.
