Black helicopters in Portland

Not to worry? What the hell is the Department of Defense even doing in Oregon, which has ZERO military bases. There were no reports that an African American man was seen hanging from a balcony in his underwear.

In my neck of the PNW, folks in black helicopters would probably be shot out of the sky or fall out -because they got high on second-hand smoke.

no worries. I've seen it. and for me, hard to get a reference to a movie that's 10 years old set in d.c. and filmed in baltimore when discussing portland. ;)

The whole chase of Smith in the movie was said to be "a training exercise" to avoid disturbing the public.
I'm not saying there is anything to this, but I do find it odd since in the past these types of training exercises are publicized in advance to avoid alarming the public.

It would be helpful for all of us to be informed citizens and desiring information does not make us "nervous nellies" as one person so blithely put it.
I live in SE and it has been very noisy this evening. It must have been really annoying to be downtown. What happened to transparency of government? Oh yeah, I forgot, as long as someone utters the magic words "national security", "9-11" or something similar, they can get away with anything because the public's eyes glaze over and the Bushie brainwashing subliminal messages ooze out and anybody who wants to know what is really going on is immediately labeled anti-American.
