Billy Turner, pastor and Times-Picayune sports writer, dies at 63
This is a week late, but Billy was a well-respected editor at both the Clarion-Ledger and Times-Picayune before following his heart to become a full-time Methodist minister in 2009 (It helped that the T-P was offering one-year salary buyouts at the time). Unfortunately, Billy suffered from COPD for the last year and left us far too young at 63.
