Tonight, the "Science Guy" is debating the "Answers in Genesis" guy.

Live streaming here:

http://debatelive.org/

It's at 7 p.m. EST, though I'm not sure when the digital downloads and DVDs and so forth will be available for viewing.

I considered going to the Creation museum, just to take a picture for my Christmas card of me in front of a display showing animatronic dinosaurs on Noah's arc.

Then I found out that house of quackery costs $29.95 to enter.

AKA the "people please pay attention to us" debate.

And I won't.

They could have this debate in the middle of the summer, at a blow-job contest that I was judging, and it would still be the least interesting thing ever.

His ex-wife Raisin Ham is pretty cool, too.

Come on, I would have thought you of all people would have known his wife's name is Virginia. :D

And he named his **** "ham bone".

No comment on the debate or the subject matter or anything like that. But whoever came up with #hamonnye gets an imaginary internet kudos from me.

So what's next, a debate on whether or not 2+2 is really 4?

There are 10 kinds of people in this world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Evidently more than 500,000 people tuned in to the stream. That's more than most network prime time crapfests.

If he uses his "ham bone" on Virginia, is he Macon Bacon?

The only people who could find truth in your statement are those who find truth in Young Earth math (i.e., those who ignore a preponderance of easily-accessible data sets, all of which contradict their intuitive beliefs, in order to maintain cognitive ease). Good news is, if you surround yourself with enough people who agree with your belief that 500,000 viewers is what most primetime crapfests draw, the reality of the situation ceases to matter!

Hey, everyone else was chiming in with masses of bull**** earlier in the thread, so I decided to hop in hip deep. Carry on, oh you sensitive souls.

Bill Nye comes out the winner by pocketing a nice appearance fee.

Where did you see that? I haven't found any references to an appearance fee, though admittedly I have no idea how the machinations of such debates work.
