Ron Hassey was the Oakland catcher in the ninth inning of game 1 of the 1988 World Series. He's still waiting to catch Dennis Eckersley's back-door slider for the third strike on Kirk Gibson and the final out of the game.
Should have called for a fastball instead.
BTW, Tim Raines was the batter when Dave Dravecky broke his left arm and ended his career.
