Stolen base in the opener, first-inning HR tonite followed by a 40-yard sprint to make a nice catch. The man can still get it done. Suck it, haters.

TSP, why do you hate America?

He was really good at sliding into home in the opener, too.

So are we going to do this every time he hits one out? It's almost enough to make me suggest a running baseball thread...

As long, apparently, as no postseason play is involved.

**** a bunch of Barry Bonds.

Bonds better hit 70 homers to help that old-ass team beat the Dodgers in the long haul. And the Rockies don't look half-bad, either.

I'll settle for a running Barry Bonds thread. The Google ads could be for HGH.

Yeah....he was just awful in the 2002 World Series....only batted .471 with four home runs and six RBI in 30 plate appearances, 13 of them walks. His OBP was .700.

Yes, I know he sucked otherwise, but it's not like he never had a good post-season.

Including one of the hardest hit home run balls I have ever seen.

Ok...what is going on here? You and I are agreeing way too much lately, Angola. hehe

Pretty strange indeed.

The fact that you root for Bonds and hate Kobe says pretty much everything there is to know about you.

Add Pac-Man Jones and you have the trifecta

Sure does, I don't go for the 'alleged' rapist who cut settlement checks.

That would be all you need to know about me.

Bonds is a surly, arrogant guy. But he doesn't pretend he's not.

Kobe is a sack of dung who wants to be all cuddly and adored.

Bonds doesn't give a ****. Kobe cares too much, he's soft, weak.

I love Bonds. He said 'f this' when he knew every guy he was competing against was using, including guys on the mound.

Kobe is the epitome of what's wrong with today's athlete: He's a sneaker-deal needing, please-love-me, phony-ass fraud. He's a chump. He works hard, I'll give him that. Besides that, he's bunk.

Bonds >>>>>>> Kobe, any day.
