The new A-Team:

Liam Neeson as Hannibal
Bradley Cooper as Face
Some guy as Murdock
Rampage Jackson as BA

And Jessica Biel as the Army general chasing them?

Well, she'll be a lot better to look at than the William Lucking/Jack Ging/Lance LeGault triumvirate of middle-aged actors filling the role.

"We need someone who is believable as an Army general."

"Why don't we find a hot 20-something actress?"

"Perfect, is Jessica Biel available?"

Hollywood GOLD

I'm assuming Biel would be somebody hiring the A-Team, but hey, she could look hot in a uniform.

Oskar Schindler as Hannibal in a remake of a TV series. Somehow, I feel I should weep.

Oh, and LOL!

I'm stunned they were able to get a decent cast. I guess some studio threw a ****load of money at the project and they were able to get Neeson, Cooper and Biel.

Meanwhile, The Hangover gets made for $11 million and Big Fan gets made for $350,000.

I recently watched an episode of the original. It is difficult to convey just how awesomely terrible it was.

Much much much much more emphasis on the awesome, I hope. I love that show. Still.

I especially liked the shootouts where nobody got shot.

Oh, come on. B.A. got wounded once and had to take a transfusion of Murdock's blood, didn't he?

I must have missed that one ... :D

Seriously... I used to watch the shooting scenes and think to myself, "If these guys are the A Team.. I'd hate to see the B Team."...

Yeah, it was silly. I really would like to see them play this straight, which would mean people actually getting hurt and maybe even a death or two with all the shooting.

If they want to play it straight, then write a movie script about four bad ass commandos. But don't call it the A Team.

Fans of the show watch it BECAUSE it is cheesy and campy and eight different kinds of awesome. I want cameos by Dirk Benedict, Dwight Schultz and Mr. T. I want a million shots fired that hit no people and only the occasional tire. I want Hannibal to say, "I love it when a plan comes together" with a cheeky grin...essentially a wink at the audience, who knows that a plan always comes together. Playing it straight pisses off fans who want nothing more than an homage and people who hate the show aren't going to shell out $$$ to see it in the theatre.

I loved the show. If it is an homage, I won't even watch it when it makes it to cable.
