As a recent alum of the university, I challenge anyone to come up with a more beautiful campus in the South than Auburn. The town is nice and yes it's small, but it's not "Bum****, Mississippi". I have my fair share of gripes with the athletic department as a whole, but that comes with working at the college paper and getting the old bob and weave. They're a good group of people though and if this is the kind of gig you're looking for then it's a good place to be.

You're right ::)

Don't have to look far to find a nicer place:

Nice bob and weave, POO.

Show a photo of the Quad after a home football game with all of the trash left behind. That ain't a pretty site.

No love for beautiful Starkville? C'mon.

Starkville = FAIL.

Oxford, now ... they redshirt Miss Americas there </Tim Brando>

My money is on Gainesville in the SEC.

Should be interesting to see which way they go with this gig.

Starkville isn't the best but Auburn damn sure isn't too much better. It's just a tab better than Columbia. Gainesville is interesting along with Tuscaloosa and Lexington. I've always enjoyed Baton Rouge and Nashville.

You got a problem with Miles and Wallace State, now?

Alabama's is on par with Auburn's; neither are outstanding for architecture and are spread out.

Samford and Birmingham-Southern are nice but are surrounded and, therefore, confined to existing acreage.

University of the South in Sewanee makes Auburn and Tuscaloosa look like muddy potholes.
