Yes indeed, less than 100 posts away from that milestone is the prince of premature...the baron of bad hair metal...the duke of Donna Martin Graduates!

Tho the lengths of his posts combined barely equal about 10 of Ragu's posts on an economics thread, his impact goes far beyo....hahahahaha...OK, composed again. Anyway, here's to an award-winning writer who will laugh at a reference to Jack Curry in a way few can understand. And thank god I'll never catch him.

He's in the backyard throwing a football to himself.

That's been your most lucid post in weeks.

50,000? The average attendance at a Jacksonville Jaguars game?

Looks like 86 to go now.

Re: Areopathetica: BYH closes in on 50,000

I'd say by Tuesday, it's going down.

Dammit, I can't pull the trigger on any of the jokes that line sets up.

I hope one of the 84 is one of those glorious spoofs of a JRC job ad.

Sadly, neither can I.

But I'll commemorate the day with red lipstick.

Congratulations BYH. We joined SportsJournalists.com around the same time but I'd like to take this moment to officially concede the great post race. You win, bro.

Re: Areopathetica: BYH closes in on 50,000

I've been thinking of going back and copying and pasting all my posts into a word document just to see how many pages it would be. Then, maybe I'd send it to a publishing company and see what I could get for it. (probably not much ...) Wouldn't dream of it at 50k posts. That's getting pretty close to work.

When you run this through Dooleyfish, the translation is "HAH SUCKER! YOU'RE A FAR BIGGER LOOSER THAN I HOPED TO BE!"

Re: Areopathetica: BYH closes in on 50,000

To celebrate your impending milestone, I hereby grant you the power to last NINE SECONDS! BWAHAHAHAHA!

Re: Areopathetica: BYH closes in on 50,000

Wait a minute - didn't BYH also take about a year sabbatical? Holy crap.

I guess if you have have that much bile in your system directed towards Mike Scioscia, this place is as good a release as anywhere.
