Anyone else having random posts disappear?

Hey Doc,
Why you start a thread like this is beyond me, but: Are you talking about the posts you talked about in the thread on the other board, where you chime in that you had some disappear with no explanation?
Just a theory - maybe YOUR post was fine but you quoted a post that was a problem. It does no good for a moderator to rid the board of a bad post and leave up 4-5 others where said post is quoted.

One reason I hate the quote function beyond the idiots who play with it.

That's a possible explanation. Or it may be that the person in charge of the board took a different view of the content of your post.

No, nothing like that. Some of the posts were just two or three words long, not quoted, non-inflammatory, and on threads that had no problems. This thread wasn't started in complaint, but to ask if the weirdness was happening to anyone else.

Can't answer that. I thought we had it fixed where you couldn't delete your own threads, only your own posts. I will check with Webby on that.
Is that it, Doc? Are "new" threads appearing on the same subject? In other words, the starter deletes and starts anew? We have a few members who think it is cute to play around like that.

I've lost a lot of posts of late also. I know the mods are trying to tighten things up and will dice and slice if things head south.
