do what you normally do, copy, delete, then paste. it works.

Well, that makes loads of sense.

I suppose there's a degree of irony in there being 60 posts on an "I can't seem to post" thread.

irony might be the wrong word, but i understand what you're getting at.

I'm also having these issues. Trying the quote function to see if it's going to do it to me this time.

That one worked, but I can't edit it. I've also had trouble if I have to repost because someone had posted right in front of me.

OK, I'm dumb. How does this make it impossible for me to post using the quote function, which is one of the problems I'm having?

I sometimes get a page similar to one you get when you try to click on a page that doesn't exist. I hit refresh and it says my session timed out. But then I click away and re-click anew on the page and can post fine. Odd.

I've been having problems when I try to post a reply that's just a few seconds behind someone else's. Then I have to re-enter the topic and try posting again.

I found the problem. Em-dashes. They don't take anymore.

Exponents/footnotes as well, I've noticed. Back to the old button for that, I guess. I suspect it's pretty much any kind of extended Unicode/ISO 10646 characters. However, it doesn't explain the problems with quoting other messages.
