Good to hear a good guy lands on his feet from a massive hose job layoff:

----------

Impact Sports Hires Scott Carter

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Former Tampa Tribune sports writer Scott Carter has been named senior writer for a new website devoted to covering Florida State University sports. The ESPN-affiliated Web site is expected to make its debut in September.

Carter joins Impact Sports after 10 years at the Tribune, where he covered FSU for the past two years. Prior to taking over the FSU beat for the newspaper, Carter covered the Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Lightning for six years. He also covered horse racing, including multiple Triple Crown races.

"I'm excited about joining Impact Sports and pleased with the opportunity to continue covering Florida State,'' Carter said.
"Seminole fans are some of the most passionate and knowledgeable in the nation. I'm committed to making this ESPN-affiliated website the most authoritative source on FSU sports news anywhere on the Internet or in print.''

He's too classy to do it himself, so I'll pinch hit:

Standing, raising middle finger salute in general direction of Tampa.

Glad to hear Scott landed on his feet. **** Tampa and all like them.

Style thing ... is it website? Or Web site?

I've seen it both ways. Never in the same paragraph before ... let alone the same lede (hopefully Scott didn't write the release) ... but curious if anyone has a good argument for either side.

Paybacks are hell.

Great for Scott ... everything I heard about him, I knew it had to end up well.

(Our place is website, differs from AP.)

Glad to see he got a full-time gig, but I'll bet the 'correspondent" story was just as satisfying...

Outstanding Scott and good luck, you can breathe easy now - Oh wait football season is starting, maybe not, but that's a good thing. We'll have to celebrate someday - Arturo? Rocky? Partagas? You name it man.

Let's see, 10 weeks severance but he finds something in five weeks - There's a little extra in the pot to party with. ;D

On another side Carter Gaddis, you're next to find something. Go at them.
