Damn, I had just started a thread (maybe a first) and once I hit send, you beat me to it.
Because, even with her alleged death, I guess it's all about me.

Whats even stranger is that I looked on one wire and at 3:30 there was a story saying she was expected to be fine after collapsing and being rushed to a hospital. Eight minutes later, she was dead.

The dead son had been filching from ANS's methadone stash, so that puts one theory to the forefront right there. Also may explain her bizarre behaviour on that reality show.

And, somewhere, both Nancy Grace and Greta Van Susteren feel their antennae twitching.

Sources tell ET that ANNA NICOLE SMITH died this afternoon after she collapsed at a Florida hotel.
The actress and TRIMSPA spokesperson was staying at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida.
According to reports, Anna Nicole collapsed around 2 p.m. and paramedics were called. They reportedly performed CPR at the scene.
... They arrived at the hospital five hours later...

Hell, those boobs couldn't have been more than a couple years old.

Probably still had plenty of tread left on 'em.

OK, that was crass.

RIP, Anna Nicole. May you find some semblance of peace.

Damn, that's bad news. Somewhere, there's some bizarre, tragic stories about the final year of her life. RIP.

Anna Nicole Smith Dies

(February 8, 2007)— One-time Mexia chicken restaurant waitress turned Playboy model turned heiress turned reality TV star Anna Nicole Smith died Thursday afternoon after she was found unconscious in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., a law enforcement source told CNN.

The source told CNN Smith was dead on arrival at Memorial Regional Hospital.

The death comes a day after Smith and the diet company TrimSpa were targeted in a class-action lawsuit that alleges TrimSpa's marketing is false or misleading.

Among other things, the suit wants to stop Smith and TrimSpa from making claims that people who use the pills can lose a lot of weight.

Smith is a spokeswoman for TrimSpa.

Last month, the Federal Trade Commission announced TrimSpa would pay $1.5 million to settle allegations that the diet-products company's weight-loss claims were unsubstantiated.

The suit was the latest in a series of woes for the former Mexia waitress.

Her son Daniel, whose father still lives in Mexia, died last year in her hospital room in the Bahamas shortly after she gave birth to a daughter.

Since then she had faced challenges to her residency and questions about the baby girl’s paternity.

She was still locked in a legal fight over the estate of oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall, II, whom she married in 1994 when she was 26 and he was 89.

Marshall died the following year.

Smith ended up in a long-running battle with Marshall’s son Pierce over her late husband’s estate.

She won a $474 million judgment, which was later cut to about $89 million then to nothing.

The US Supreme Court ruled in May Smith could continue to pursue the inheritance in California courts.

You beat me by 11 seconds, so I zapped my post. But a post by another member was zapped just before that. I had just come here from CNN.com and had only read that she was unresponsive.

Re: Anna Nicole Smith dies

Purgatory must be getting interesting at this point. They've had Hussein, the Godfather of soul and now Anna Nicole in just the past six weeks.
