Headline = Fail.

Too simple. If you're going to beat folks to the punch, you've gotta do it in style.

You were all over that one. Haha.

I had it cued up and ready to go in another Firefox tab the other night and the Rays choked. I cued it up earlier tonight and the pitchers struggled. I cued it up at the start of the ninth and Bay walked, so I killed it quick.

When they got the second out and Lowrie pinch-hit for Cora? Yeah, then it was time. :D

I remember going into a Beef O'Brady's in Bradenton in, probably, 2001, and a few forlorn-looking Rays employees were giving out free stuff. I think we were the only ones who took it, because my kids wanted the whistles they had. The only interest stirring in the restaurant was for a local high school sports radio show being broadcast from there.

I hope those employees still work for the Rays, just so they can fondly remember those dark, dark days in the glow of the World Series.

Rays in 5.

The two best teams just got done playing.

I refuse to take that for granted. Just ask any Tigers fan about 2006.

:'( :'( :'(

Obviously the Rays have the advantage given the home-field, but I wouldn't count out the Phils. They're a hard hitting team who can play AL baseball and already have a natural DH in Matt Stairs (or Gregg Dobbs, for that matter). Their pen's nasty, and I think their pitching matches up. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go 7.

Game 1 will be the first World Series game played on artificial turf since 1993.
Thanks for dredging THAT series up... f-tard... [/philliesfanboi]

Phinally we will have our parade down broad street...Phils in 6. The fact that game 1 and 2 start in tampa is actually perfect for the phils. Myers and Hamels can go REAL deep into games because of the terrible DH rule. Plus, when Burrell comes out for a defensive replacement we can doubleswitch him to the DH, thusly never losing his bat.

TB -155 in the World Series.

That means they are 1½:1 favorites to win.

They were 50-to-1 to win their division seven months ago.

As someone who went to his share of games at the Trop when they couldn't give the tickets away, I still can't believe it.
