I believe it's 17 injured, not necessarily 17 shot..perhaps there were some injuries in the stampede. It does seem strange that he had a big-ass gun and so many of the victims had graze-type injuries.

Scary stuff. Hope everybody survives.

UPDATE: Five of 17 people injured during a mass shooting at the Copper Top, a downtown bar, early Tuesday morning remain hospitalized.

One was in critical condition, another was in serious condition and three were in fair condition, DCH Regional Medical Center spokesman Brad Fisher said at 8:30 a.m.

Twelve had been treated and released. All the victims are in their 20s and 30s, Fisher said.

Hearing that one of the victims (though not seriously wounded) was former Alabama football player and Blount high school coach Kelvin Sigler, who is now a high school liaison with the Bama football staff. Sigler was a high school teammate of former Bama and Redskins lineman Chris Samuels.
