TBF, it's kind of big deal for the fans trying to plan their Sundays in the fall.
I think it is a big deal to fans because there are fewer games than most sports and maybe you are planning on traveling to a road game or want to hit that big home game and it is exciting to see when they are. Plus oddities like holiday games and primetime and all that.Except, it's very important.
No big deal in MLB, everyone plays a balanced schedule. But in the NFL, your 11 OOC games can totally determine how successful you'll be. Think the Patriots get anywhere near the Super Bowl without that Charmin-soft schedule?
Agate schedules used to work just fine for that, without all the nonsense.TBF, it's kind of big deal for the fans trying to plan their Sundays in the fall.
As frustrating as the NFL is in creating the release show circus, mission creep from it has created the SEC schedule announce show and a special edition of B1G live show for schedule announcement.I have never, ever seen an entity pull as much blood from a stone as the NFL does with the schedule release.
It’s not even a day at this point, it’s a whole ****ing week — actually months, if you count the dribs and drabs that come out after the combine.

I could argue all of college football is something that used to move me and I barely care about now because we’ve moved to a two conference league while openly colluding with the TV networks to suppress the rest.
If you are foolish enough to try for a fall wedding in the South you absolutely want to know the schedule details.I'm sure people are waiting with bated breath to see what game ends up being the sixth-tier Week 6 SEC game that gets buried at noon on SEC Network. This is all nonsense. Is it followed up by a special edition of Finebaum? "Auburn's game at Oklahoma shouldn't be stuck in that window, Pawwwwwwwl!"

As ****ty as Auburn has been the last five years, being the 11 am/Noon Jefferson-Pilot Game of the Week would be special. Ha ha you idiot there won't be a 2039.Yeah, but you're not going to know the times of games until 6-12 days before the event. And we probably already know now when the 2039 Tennessee-Alabama game is.
So all that really matters is "When are my team's bye weeks?"
Willie, Mickey and the Duke — and the 30 versions for each ****ing team — is much more insufferable“One Shining Moment”; only cared maybe first couple of times. So sappy.
