Now that the players will be paid, cash, plus scholarship, room,board,medical and clothing and the coaching staffs for football and basketball will be paid $10-30 million a year, the schools should stop having the students-academics (as opposed to the student athletes), who are getting as in debt as the players are making bank, pay student activities fees, and any sports related fees. Now that we’ve established that Football, men’s and to a certain extent women’s basketball as well as some baseball have very little to do with education and all to do with money, let’s skip the facade that college sports are part of the educational portion of a student’s university experience.
Charge for intramural sports if you have to, but the athletic departments should kickback something to the student-academics.
