Excuse to post one of my favorite Isbell tunes.

Don't mean to threadjack, but...

Speaking of Isbell, I was not emotionally prepared to listen to "If We Were Vampires" when it was released yesterday and I found myself crying, pondering the end of life and the toll it will take on me or my wife while sitting in a Honda Civic in a Kroger parking lot at 3 p.m.

I know that sounds like I'm depressed, but I'm not. That song downloaded on my IPhone when I just wasn't ready.

He also thinks the White Stripes suck.

Though I'm on board with his Oasis love.

The most disappointing music take ever here was from long-departed @buckweaver, who argued that Bush was superior to Weezer. That's disqualifying for someone with any hope of having future takes considered seriously.

To be fair, I think he was about 16-years-old when he made that argument.

Weezer is too cute by half. Beverly Hills is fingers on the chalkboard bad. Sixteen Stone still holds up. Little Things, Everything Zen. Good stuff.

It's not remotely "good stuff." It is sanded-down "grunge by numbers" that spelled the beginning of the end of a great era of rock music. Gavin Rossdale is the Jason Aldean of '90s rock. He sucks, his band sucks, and his exploitive producers suck the most.

No, you suck! jk

Hey, I don't care about the back story. I just find my foot moving when some of those Sixteen Stone songs come on. I don't try and place them in the greater arc of some musical movement.

Sure. Same when I hear Carly Rae Jensen. She's not rock, either.
