Lets say Oregon plays for the national championship, and as a public service you are asked to design a new uniform so that Oregon doesn't do down in history as the the national champion with the worst-looking uniform in the history of mankind. What would your uniform look like? I'd like to see them play in a uniform that looks just like the Green Bay Packers, with the "O" on the helmet shaped like the "G" on Green Bay's uniform. I know it wouldn't be the most original, but it would look classic.

Think it would be cool for Oregon to wear the colors of BCS team that was on the bubble and did not make the game.

How about this one from the Saskatoon Blades of the WHL.

Nothing like a quick trip to Walmart for inspiration.

Isn't it time for Zubaz jerseys to make a comeback?

A bold choice, I know.

Just what I was thinking when I saw the first post. Make it a throwback night.

Maybe I'm a little younger than you, but the Hartford No. 16 will always be Pat Verbeek for me. My first youth team wore Whalers colors and I ended up with No. 16, so that toothless dude will always have a special spot in my heart.

Agreed. Oregon does have a slightly updated throwback (basically no trim on the shoulders) that it wore for the Cal and Oregon State games last year. Best look in the Pac-10 when the Ducks decide to use it.

A million times, yes. But then again, I looooove me some lime green. Seriously. I love it.

When it comes to football design, simpler is better. The best-dressed teams in the NFL are the Jets, Giants, Cowboys, Bears, Packers, and Chiefs. Classic, timeless looks. The Chargers would bolt (tee-hee) to the top of the list if they ever made the permanent switch to the powder blues. Same for the Bills with their throwbacks.

Oregon's winged shoulders are stupid, but the colors had potential if they weren't matched by a blind person. White helmets and pants, dark green jerseys. Simple and effective.

At least the wings made more sense on Oregon's jersey than they did on Florida's "throwback" from last season.

And they're infinitely better than the tire-tread look from a few seasons ago.

I honestly paid no attention to the name on the jersey, just looked for a Hartford uni.

Verbeek was great. How can you hate someone with the nickname, "The Little Ball of Hate."

Not a Hartford fan, but more of a Peter Karmanos hater (for several reasons).

I'm mostly indifferent about the Whalers, but as a fan of Icethetics, I must say their logo is one of best in sports history. It's perfectly simple. I'm still not convinced green and blue go well together, though.

hell yeah. If Jersey Shore was on 20 years ago the Situation and Pauley D would be wearing those pants.

Really? I'd take both of these over Oregon's throwbacks:
