Unless something changes in tomorrow's paper, the Boston Globe isn't sending anyone, which is a big shift from past tournaments. (They even had two guys in Korea/Japan, despite the time zone issues.) Guess they cast their lot (read: blew their international sports budget) with the Vancouver Olympics.

I believe John Powers is there.

Any big or medium papers out there NOT put U.S.-England on its sports front? Because the big paper out here did not. Refer off A1. Much much smaller refer off the sports cover to the coverage inside.

We're a 16K and we had it as our dominant centerpiece on our front.

In other words, not adjusting/recognizing the situation and going with a plan that was implemented three weeks ago. Ran it by others whom I trust. All were shocked by what I described.

No datelines on his stories that I've seen. So I presume he's writing columns from home, and they're using Jere Longman's copy for the U.S. daily coverage.
