I don't know what else there is to say except this is beyond disturbing. And further proof that living at society's margins is often deadly.

This is a tragic story, but the reality is hospitals get a lot of people every day coming in complaining of ailments just to get access to drugs and a clean bed. I know that sounds callous, but that is a reality. Did this woman need to die because of it? No. Was it her fault that she was not treated like a real patient? No. Was it her fault that addicts try to abuse the system and she suffered for it? No.
 
Maybe it's our fault because we dismantled public psychiatric services in this country.
