I think he's done. Unless the Yankees decide to fork over some more dough. I don't think any other team will take the risk again.

His last three seasons in the AL his ERA has been 4.35, 3.91 and 4.18. His last three seasons in the NL his ERA has been 2.98, 1.87 and 2.30.

He also hasn't exactly sparkled in the postseason since (and including) 2002. In fact, his career postseason ERA is 3.75.

So, I'd say an AL team wouldn't be smart to pick him up, especially if it was counting on him to be a postseason star (and especially for the outrageous sum of money he's likely to want).

Spnited, Roger is not the pitcher he once was. His legs are shot and that's where he got his power from. I think he genuinely loves to compete and can't find a way to let go.
I think if someone offers him something decent, he'd come back again.

Well, I'm pretty certain it won't be the Yankees, so I doubt there's anyoner else out there willing to spend $12 or $15 million (you know Roger's ego won't allow him to accept less) on a washed up old man.

The Astros have too many holes on their team to waste that much money on a guy who might win 6 games. And Tampa Bay and Miami(?) haven't exactly been big spenders in the free agent market.

Tampa Bay would make no sense, because Clemens would get ripped by the Red Sox and Yankees lineups.
