The press making a big deal out of lip-synched National Anthems (where they been?)
Andy Card calling out Obama for not wearing a coat in the Oval Office?
Lefties griping about Obama reaching out to the GOP.
Ashley Judd complaining about Palin and Palin firing back.
Glenn Beck referring to Obama as a "comrade."
Lou Dobbs being Lou Dobbs.
The New York Senate replacement snafu.

Our country is staring down an abyss and folks are wasting time (and "ink") on selfish pettiness. I realize everyone has their pet issues, but isn't it getting to be a little like complaining where you are seated on the life raft?

1. No one any damn good will work at a job like that for $500 K a year.
2. Lane Kiffin needs to acquaint himself with the NCAA rule book. There's no rule another coach can't call a recruit while the kid's on a visit to another school.
3. Etta James should be more worried about the number of drunk chicks who butcher her song on Karaoke nights.
4. Let me know when Andy Card gets his GQ cover.
5. I guess those lefties think winning the presidency, house and senate means every GOP legislator should resign and go home?
6. Ashley Judd and her PETA ilk would be against flypaper.
7. Glen Beck and Keith Olberman are two sides to the same stupid coin.
8. Who gives a **** about Lou Dobbs. Grouchy old ****.
9. Proof that the Democrats have met the enemy, and he is them.

Yes, we're staring at the abyss. But Nos. 1 and 5 are the only things on your list that remotely come under the category of being important. The rest is bull****, and who cares how many minutes they get on the nightly news or how many blogs deal with it.
