just curious. realized the other day that it's been ages since I saw a ronald mcdonald either in one of the stores or on the tv or anywhere else ... they finally realize he looked a bit to pervy for today's society or what?

I think about RM every time I got to Truett's Chik-fil-A Grill, where they have a bench out front and a statue of Truett Cathy sitting on it. Just like the bench McD's used to have wiht RM sitting on it. Freaks me out every time.

On a serious note, it appears McD's is looking to go upscale and ditch the kiddie motif. All the new design joints have fire places, flat screens and free wireless (which makes filing so nice). Most are dumping the playgrounds out front. too.

I guess they figure if you dress up the place, you'll think that quarter with cheese is a steak.

Burger King is doing the same thing. I love the HD TVs there -- almost as much as the chicken sandwiches.
