Weezer to sell a band-branded Snuggie, you know, the blanket with arms.

A press release noted that it will allow "fans of the band to stay warm while keeping their hands free to rock out."

In other news: Weezer makes a dork like me look cool. Thanks Weezer!

Are you implying that Snuggies aren't cool?

I'm surprised more people/groups/bands haven't done this. Snuggies are sweeping the country.

I hate snuggies. One of the dumbest products to come along in years. A pox on snuggies.

I think the Weezer logo on the front of the snuggie makes it cool. Without, it's the lamest thing in the world.

Doubt I'll be seeing the band anyway; they're a lousy live act.

And while just two listens in, I think the new album may be their worst. NOTHING jumps out at me ... not exactly what you want out of a pop record.

I love Weezer. Don't know if Weezer is cool or uncool. I just know I love Weezer.

Snuggies rock because of the ads. They're absolutely brilliant. But this Subaru ad may be one of my favourite car ads ever.

Trey's right, they are an awful live act. I saw them touring behind the first album - which I still love - and it was a disaster.

I had never heard of a Snuggie until I clicked on this thread. Carry on.

Maybe you could get your marketing department to slap a Troops logo on them and sell them at the games. :)

Weezer collaborated with Kenny G on their most recent AOL Sessions project last month. Although Kenny has enchanting curls, I would rather spend an evening learning taxidermy than listen to his ****. Frankly, he sucks. Weezer's cool.

There are a few great Weezer songs, Hash Pipe, Pork and Beans come to mind, plus a couple from the earlier days whose names I can't remember off the top of my head. But they're the kind of band for which I'll cherry-pick songs on YouTube if I'm in the mood, but I can't listen to more than a few songs without getting bored. Listened to the first single off the new album after reading the RS article on Rivers, and it, well, bored me. I clicked off after about 45 seconds.

They were on Letterman the other night, and the whole band was wearing Weezer-brand Snuggies. Even Paul and the LN band were wearing them.
